Supermarine Sptifire Mk. IXe One of the most important fighters ever built, the Supermarine Spitfire catches our memory for helping win the Battle of Britain in 1940, but this elegant and agile plane played a host of roles worldwide from 1936–1957.
North American Harvard Derived from the 1935 NA-16 prototype, the North American NA-26 design was first flown in 1938. This aircraft was designated the Basic Combat Trainer, BC-1.
T28 Trojan The North American T-28 Trojan was a piston-engined military trainer aircraft used by the United States armed forces in the 1950s and into the early 1980s.
Mustang and Stearman The North American Mustang and Boeing Steerman from Vintage Wings of Canada.

2013 Air Show Cancelled

On behalf of the Town of Princeton, Princeton Airport Committee and Air Show Producers, we would like to thank everyone for their support of the Princeton International Air Show over the years. This little air show grew from an idea to highlight our small town airport into an award winining air show.

In 2013, our largest contributor the Town of Princeton would like to take time away from air show to allow costly upgrades to our small but growing airport. These upgrades will enhance the safety for air traffic that frequents our airport year round.

Again, thank you to everyone who supported, participated and visited the Princeton International Airport over the years.

Importance of a Hangar building

It is of great importance to invest in a custom made aircraft hangar as a way to keep your aircraft protected from chemicals and harsh weather. A hangar building provides you with the best solution for a sturdy, safe and secure storage for aircrafts of whatever size. This is important as it increases the time you spend in the air and also reduces the costs spent in maintaining your aircraft. Some hangar buildings are big enough to accommodate more than one aircraft. There are lots of approved hangar building companies in Alberta. It is important that you consult a qualified professional hangar building Alberta who will develop each hangar to suit your aircraft’s needs.

Hangar frames are usually made using steel so as to be able to resist any loads placed on it. The frames should be able to self-erect as a way of avoiding excess construction phasing. Steel is popular in aircraft hangars as it is strong, durable, fire proof, designs can be customized and construction is easy and fast. Besides steel, hangars can be constructed from wood and metal.

Hangar structures may include:
  • Quonset hangar buildings
These have great seismic and wind durability. Construction is fast and easy. In fact, this is a very cost effective building for aviation storage.
  • Straight wall hangars
These do not have any size restriction at all. They have been constructed to allow maximization for usable space for airplanes of all types. They have a modular design.

Before constructing a hangar building, take into consideration:
  • The number of aircrafts you intend to store
  • The size of your aircraft
  • Your desired amenities for your hangar
  • Requirements you intend your hangar to perform
A modern hangar can have an attached room as an office, in-floor heating, LED lighting, a lounge, insulated walls and attic, In fact, anything that you wish to include for your comfort and luxury. Having hangar structures stands to benefit aviators, whether recreational or commercial, in ways such as:
  • Gives your aircraft superior sturdiness
  • There is more increased free floor space
  • Better load resistance
  • Weather and fire proofing
  • Assurance of maximum durability
  • Enjoy a slicker and sparkling aircraft exterior and interior.
As much as there may be differences in market conditions and scope differences, a good hangar building contractor should be in a position to give you a proper quotation of how much it is going to cost you before embarking on the construction process.

Thank You

Another great air show!

Thank you to all that attended, our performers, our volunteers and our sponsors! We can hardly wait until 2013!
